EON for PVF Scaffolding West Midlands
Glencross Scaffolding recently partnered as a trusted subcontractor with PVF Scaffolding to deliver tailored scaffolding solutions for EON Energy's solar panel installation projects. The brief required precision scaffolding setups designed specifically for roof access, essential for safely and effectively fitting solar panels on residential properties.
The challenge for this particular project was to construct scaffolding systems capable of providing secure roof access, combined with specialized lifting and access equipment to safely transport and install the solar panels. Due to the nature of solar installations, ensuring scaffolding was robust, flexible, and easily navigable was critical, allowing installation teams seamless and secure access to rooftops across a series of properties.
Our experienced team carried out comprehensive site surveys for each property, identifying unique challenges, such as varying roof heights, limited access areas, and specific points suitable for supporting the weight of scaffolding equipment. We meticulously planned each installation, ensuring full compliance with rigorous health and safety guidelines. This involved precise calculations for structural integrity, load-bearing capacities, and accessibility.
Each scaffold erected for the EON project was thoughtfully designed, incorporating specialist components including ladder access points for safe vertical transitions and secure working platforms strategically positioned at rooftop levels. A key element of this project was the incorporation of a Gin Wheel pulley system, specifically implemented to safely and efficiently lift heavy solar panels onto the rooftops. This robust lifting system significantly reduced manual handling risks, enhancing the safety and efficiency of the installation process.
Throughout the installation phase, Glencross Scaffolding's team ensured minimal disruption to homeowners and neighbouring properties.
This was achieved through careful logistical planning and clear communication, scheduling work within optimal hours to maintain neighbourhood tranquility and promptly addressing any concerns residents may have had.
Safety barriers, edge protection, and secure scaffold platforms were fitted on every structure to maintain a safe working environment at height. These installations provided EON Energy's teams the confidence and freedom to conduct their solar installations effectively, knowing the scaffolding system beneath their feet was both reliable and secure.
Following the completion of solar panel installations, our teams promptly dismantled and removed scaffolding structures from each property, ensuring sites were left clean, tidy, and with minimal evidence of prior works. Our commitment to respecting residential spaces and returning properties to their original condition is a cornerstone of our project delivery ethos.
Feedback from PVF Scaffolding and EON Energy praised our professionalism, efficiency, and specialist knowledge of scaffold installations tailored specifically for solar energy projects. This successful collaboration further strengthens Glencross Scaffolding’s reputation as a highly capable and adaptable subcontractor, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
At Glencross Scaffolding, we continually strive to exceed client expectations, providing practical, safe, and tailored scaffolding solutions. Our role in the PVF scaffolding project for EON Energy highlights our ability to meet the complex demands of specialist installations, supporting advancements in renewable energy solutions and reinforcing our position as a leading scaffolding provider in the region.
