Our Services

Our Professional Approach

We begin every project with a detailed site survey to assess the most effective scaffold design for your requirements. Our in-house design team creates a scaffold plan that optimises safety, access, and workflow efficiency. Installation is carried out by our experienced scaffolders, who work quickly and carefully to minimise disruption to other site activities. We also provide ongoing scaffold inspections to ensure your installation remains fully compliant and safe for the duration of the hire period.

Independent Access Scaffolding

Church Lane Handsworth Wood Scaffolding
we provide safe, reliable, and expertly erected independent access scaffolds for construction, renovation, and maintenance projects of all sizes. Our team ensures that your site has the secure working platforms needed to keep your project moving efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards at every stage.

What are Independent Access Scaffolds?

What are Independent Access Scaffolds?
Independent access scaffolds, also known as independent tied scaffolds or double scaffolds, consist of two rows of standards (upright poles) connected by ledgers and transoms, forming a freestanding structure that is tied securely to the building or structure it serves. Unlike putlog scaffolds, independent scaffolds do not rely on the building for direct support, providing a robust and versatile platform for access and work at height.

These scaffolds are ideal for:
Bricklaying and blockwork
Render and cladding installations
Window and façade replacements
General building maintenance and refurbishment works

Key Features of Our Independent Scaffolds

Stable, self-supporting structures – providing strong and safe access without putting direct pressure on the building fabric.
Flexible configurations – adaptable to a wide variety of site layouts, building heights, and project requirements.
Secure working platforms – incorporating handrails, toe boards, and safe ladder access to ensure worker safety at all times.
Multiple working lifts – enabling efficient workflow for different trades operating at varied heights.

Compliance with Industry Standards

we take compliance and safety seriously. All of our independent access scaffolds are erected in line with:
BS EN 12811-1 – Temporary works equipment standard for scaffolds.
TG20:21 Good Practice Guidance – ensuring tube and fitting scaffolds are erected and maintained to current industry best practice.
Work at Height Regulations 2005 – ensuring all scaffolds are safe, inspected, and fit for purpose.
Our scaffolding operatives are fully CISRS certified, and we carry out thorough inspections before handover and at required intervals throughout the project to maintain site safety and compliance.
