Scaffolding Old Lode Lane Solihull

Glencross Scaffolding supplied and erected a comprehensive access scaffold at a busy row of commercial premises on Old Lode Lane, Solihull. The scaffold provided safe working access to the upper façade of several interconnected retail units, including a children’s nursery, a kitchen showroom, and local service-based businesses.

Our experienced team designed and installed an independent scaffold system that enabled contractors to carry out essential maintenance and roofline repairs while allowing all businesses to remain open and operational. Due to the site’s high level of foot traffic, particular attention was given to pedestrian safety and public protection. The scaffold was fitted with high-visibility padded standards, pavement-level protection boards, and clear warning signage throughout.

Careful coordination ensured that access to shopfronts and entrances remained unobstructed. Work was completed efficiently and in full compliance with health and safety regulations, including TG20:21 guidance. Our scaffolders scheduled the installation outside of peak trading hours to minimise disruption for both the businesses and their customers.

The completed structure provided a secure and stable platform for trades working on roof maintenance, guttering, and façade improvements. Once all external works were finalised, the scaffold was dismantled and the area fully cleared, restoring normal use of the pavement and parking bays.
