Glencross Scaffolding

Scaffolding West Midlands

Scaffolding Contractors Covering the Whole of the West Midlands

The West Midlands covers seven metropolitan boroughs – Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton – and each has its own mix of buildings. Glencross Scaffolding has worked across them for over seven years from our Birmingham base, with our own fleet of large vehicles, so we can take on a single house or a programme across several sites.

This page is the regional overview. For detail on a particular area, use the links below to our local pages.

Get a Scaffolding Quote Anywhere in the West Midlands

Tell us the postcode, the type of building and the work planned, and we’ll confirm cover and send a written quote. For multi-site or phased projects, one point of contact and one programme saves a lot of chasing.
There’s no obligation.

We review every enquiry carefully and may contact you for further details, drawings or photographs to provide the most accurate quote. All information is handled in line with our privacy policy.

Where We Work Across the Region

Birmingham: Birmingham, Edgbaston, Kings Heath, Bournville, Yardley, Jewellery Quarter, Erdington and Sutton Coldfield.

Solihull and Coventry: Knowle, Hampton in Arden and Coventry.

Black Country: Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

Beyond the region: Tamworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, Rugby, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.

The Black Country and Industrial Sites

The Black Country’s industrial heritage means canal-side warehouses, factories and workshops, many now being refurbished or re-clad. We provide industrial scaffolding, gantries and heavy duty load scaffolds for sites like these, including edge protection in West Bromwich.

Across the wider region our commercial work ranges from the Jaguar Land Rover site at Castle Bromwich to offices and shops; see our commercial scaffolding page.

Specialist Scaffolding Across the Region

Beyond standard access scaffolding, we provide:

• Birdcage scaffolds for internal ceilings and large open spaces
• HAKI stair towers and scaffolding towers
• Suspended scaffolding and drop lifts
• Asbestos removal scaffolding
• Aerial lifts and fall arrest safety netting

Homes Across the Region

Housing across the West Midlands runs from Victorian terraces and 1930s semis to post-war estates and large detached homes, and each needs a different approach to access. Recent domestic work includes a re-roof in Birmingham, a solar panel installation and a house at Church Lane in Handsworth Wood. See our domestic scaffolding page for the full service.

Developers, Builders and Multi-Site Projects

We have capacity for multiple properties at once and offer a full planning service, so you know when scaffolding is needed and when it isn’t. That suits housebuilders, refurbishment contractors and managing agents with sites in more than one town. See the Kenilworth Road new build for an example.

One Safety Standard Wherever We Work

The same standards apply on every job: we are fully insured, accredited through CHAS Elite, SafeContractor and SSIP, and our scaffolds are inspected after erection and at regular intervals. Licences for pavements and roads come from the relevant local authority – each of the seven boroughs has its own – and we can tell you who to ask. More on our health and safety page.
