Apartment refurbishment Dorridge

Glencross Scaffolding provided a complete external access solution for a large-scale apartment refurbishment project in Dorridge. The development involved the full renovation of an existing multi-storey residential block, requiring safe and continuous access for a range of trades including bricklayers, roofers, renderers and decorators.

Our team designed and installed a robust, multi-lift independent scaffold system providing full perimeter coverage across multiple elevations. The scaffold was configured to suit the varying heights and contours of the site, which included a raised ground level and retaining walls along the frontage. Full edge protection, toe boards and double handrails were installed throughout to ensure maximum safety for all operatives working on-site.

The design allowed contractors to work simultaneously on roofing, external wall insulation and façade repairs, significantly improving efficiency. Stair towers and ladder access points were positioned to provide clear and safe routes to all working platforms, while maintaining compliance with current TG20:21 standards.

Given the residential setting, careful consideration was given to minimising disruption and maintaining a tidy, organised site. Our team worked closely with the principal contractor to coordinate scaffold erection and dismantling around the refurbishment schedule, helping to keep the project on track and within agreed timescales.
